In the small amount I was able to see them together, Rust-Brassard-Kessel was friggen fantastic. I would be thoroughly surprised if the coaching staff didn’t see that too and wants it to be the long term third line into the playoffs. I think Rust on the first line is a bandaid and we’ll see Simon or ZAR thrust imidiately onto the first unit as soon as they come back from injury to reunite Rust with Phil and Brassard.

I also can’t feasibly defend Sheary anymore. He’s been bad for over half the season. (Last time I broke on a hockey player was Hagelin and he was back to form within the week. Let’s see if lightning can strike twice.

Game day b!tches!

Nice to see Murray is back. Jarry kept the ship afloat atleast in his absence.

Rust is just the stop gap solution on S-G's wing. Still waiting for progress from ZAR/Simon.

Steelers and Penguins seem to both have been quiet last week or so.

No mention to Guentzel getting back to the 3rd line to play with Brassard and Kessel? Did RW mistyped?

So it will be:
Rust-Crosby-Sheary
Guentzel-Brassard-Kessel

Let's see how it works. I like the 3rd line here.

" Bryan Rust has played with Sidney Crosby and Jake Guentzel 159 minutes total the past few years at 5v5. The results have been good. They control the shot attempts at a tune of 57.55%. They score 60% of the goals"

Sorry what is this?

We're getting to the point where hesitant as I've been I would use one of those last 2 recalls on Sprong (of course it would have made more sense to use him as the emergency call-up) just to see if he catches fire with Sid and Jake. Sheary is capable of better, but right now he's a mess and they could use another top 9.

Doesn't seem like it's in the plans though. They must have made the decision to keep him in WBS for the rest of the year since that won't be an option next year.

No I post every once in a while, but mainly just read the posts. I just notice that someone always has to mention that they were first to post so thought I would be the douchebag today!

I made a post a few days ago after I attended the Pens/Habs game in Montreal about how Montreal fans must be sickened.. what a boring team full of third liners. Man they were bad.

But ya, I have been reading hockeybuzz for a few years now, but I only post maybe 5 times a year. Just love reading all of you guys posts! Normally what I want to say is already said, otherwise I will chime in.

Die hard Pens fan since 1988!

"That was a long three days without any games this late in the season for the Penguins."
That's because it was 4, crazy to think in March they get 4 days in a row off.

My rule of thumb is that if his post has more than five emojis he didn’t say anything worth while.
